Math Project Exhibition, Lucknow

Darshan Academy, Lucknow organized a Math Project Exhibition on 21st November, 2017 after a week-long math project week. Students, with the help and guidance of the teachers, prepared projects, models and activities related to the Math topics such as: addition, subtraction, missing numbers, dodging of numbers, fractions, area, perimeter, composing numbers, factors and many more. The exhibition theme was “Fun with Math”. Parents appreciated the special games that had been organized for them. The day created happy memories for all.

Kho-Kho Tournament, Ludhiana

The LSSC Kho-Kho competition for girls was organized by Guru Gobind Singh Public School Pakhowal Road VII, Daad on 21st November, 2017. DA Ludhiana students, U-14 and U-19 categories, participated in the competition. DA Ludhiana Girls U-19 exhibited their skills winning third position in the tournament.

Punjab School State Basketball Tournament, Ludhiana

The Punjab School State Basketball Tournament was held at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana from 6-8th November, 2017. Thirty six teams from different districts and zones participated in the tournament. Four students from Darshan Academy Ludhiana participated and won third position in the tournament. Naveen Kumar, student of twelfth class, has been selected for National level.

Inter-House Fun Races Event, Dasua

On 25 November, 2017, Darshan Academy Dasua organized an Inter-House Fun Races event for the students. They participated in games and races, such as three leg race, wheel barrow race, spoon race, lemon race, slow cycling, 100 m race, relay and tug of war. House mates cheered and encouraged the participants of their respective houses. Winners were awarded with certificates. The Principal stated in his address that sports are an integral part of a student’s life and helps us to keep healthy. Sports help in the overall development of a child. Sawan House scored maximum points and stood first. Rajinder House received second position and Kirpal House, third position.

Alphabet Party, Meerut

Alphabet Party was organized at Darshan Academy Meerut on 17 November 2017. Students of classes Nursery and Kindergarten participated enthusiastically in the programme, thereby getting a chance to showcase their hidden talents.

The programme started with the felicitation of the Chief Guest Mrs. Shipra Rastogi, and the Guest of Honour Mrs. Dolly Gupta, along with the welcome of all the guests and the parents.

A cultural programme comprising of prayer song and dance by the students of classes I -II and a skit by the tiny-tots of classes Nursery – UKG was hosted for the parents and the prospective admission seekers. Students of classes Nursery & Kindergarten presented the English Alphabet A – Z with the help of pictures and rhymes. Students gave their performances in groups wearing head bands with the letter marked on it. They also presented letters through body language. All the presentations of the tiny-tots were highly applauded. An entertaining dance show by the students of classes I-II and a meaningful short skit by the students of classes Nursery – UKG, highlighted that every child is unique and talented. The tiny-tots also participated in various classroom activities and alphabet games such as play station, preparing an alphabet booklet, clay modelling, musical chairs, and an alphabet race. The guests highly appreciated the programme and the commendable efforts of the students. Refreshments were served to the visitors.
